Legoland Wedding!!!!!!

In just one short month, Prince William and Kate Middleton will walk down the aisle and exchange their nuptials--dashing the hopes and dreams of princess wannabes everywhere.  In honor of the royal couple's wedding, the model makers at the Legoland theme park in Windsor, England, created a brick-by-brick lego-by-lego replica of William and Kate's upcoming marriage.

This model, which required over 550 hours to create and houses about 160,000 legos, shows the famous couple from the balcony of the esteemed Windsor Castle.  Each 4-inch 'guest' took approximately two hours and around 40 lego pieces to build.

Kate and William weren't the only two celebrities created for the wedding, though.  Celebrities found within the famous castle replica include David and Victoria Beckham, Elton John, and Paul McCartney.

No, this isn't Prince William, it's Legoland's hired look-a-like Andrew Walker.

Kate and William's marriage replica opened to visitors yesterday, April 1.  Coincidentally, the opening of this attraction occurred during the 15th anniversary of Legoland.  If I ever make it over to England, I plan to stop by the amusement park at Legoland to see this model.  What about you--is this something you'd be interested in seeing or is it just another silly corporate ploy to make a buck?
